My Mental Health in Motion Fundraising Page

Jim Eliopoulos

Jim Eliopoulos

Please help me support CMHA York and South Simcoe by making a contribution to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar I raise will advance CMHA York and South Simcoe's great cause! Additionally, you can ask me how you can get involved too.
Together, we can make a difference!

While the standard message above tells it like it is, those of you that have come to know me are aware that this annual fundraiser is a gift from my son Jake. It has helped me find purpose after muddling in the darkness of losing a child to suicide in the first 2 years or so. At this point, 8 years later, I am able to now find the joy of Jake's life as opposed to the visceral devastation of his illness and ultimate demise. I remain thankful for having been his dad while he was alive, and to represent him and his kind giving heart now that he cannot.
Our goal is to offer better help to people who have a "Jake" of their own.
You can learn more about my son Jake's unique and inspiring journey in 2 mediums: 1) the TSN 12 minute documentary SHOOTING STAR: THE JAKE ELIOPOULOS STORY.
and...2) The front page article in the National Post by Joe O'Connor titled:
THE AMAZING LIFE AND TRAGIC DEATH OF A TORONTO BLUE JAYS PROSPECT.
Thank you for reading. Your donation, large or small, will be put to effective use in salvaging youth that struggles...especially during this pandemic.
Thanks.
